
Abraham Cahan
Abraham Cahan was a prominent American Jewish author, journalist, and activist. He is best known for his novel "The Rise of David Levinsky" (1917), a seminal work of American Jewish literature that chronicles the assimilation and struggles of an immigrant in New York City. Cahan also founded and edited the "Jewish Daily Forward," a highly influential Yiddish-language newspaper.
