Dean Pitchford

Dean Pitchford is an American lyricist, songwriter, and author. He is best known for writing the lyrics for the hit songs "Footloose" and "Fame," both of which were adapted into successful films. Pitchford also penned the screenplay for "Footloose" and "The Muppet Movie." His young adult novel, "Captain Nobody," was a critical success, exploring themes of identity and belonging.
